Avion Pearce is a multidisciplinary artist working across photography, installation, video, sound, and light. Pearce’s practice explores the space between what is seen and what is felt, weaving together multiple mediums to examine shared human and ecological connection.

 

Pearce (b.1990,Brooklyn, New York) is based between Brooklyn, New York and New Haven, Connecticut and received an MFA From Yale School of Art. They studied photography at Parsons School of Design and received the Parsons School of Design BFA Photography Scholarship. Pearce is an NYSCA/NYFA Fellowship recipient and received the 2024 Aperture Portfolio Prize. Pearce’s work has been shown at Ryan Lee Gallery, Baxter Street Camera Club, WEBBER Gallery, Aperture Foundation, and Hudson Opera House. Their work has been featured in The Cut, W Magazine, the British Journal of Photography, Vice, and Aperture Magazine.
